Ruth School - Fully Acredited
Recently the Ruth School received it's final accreditation. We have been accredited for a long time but had a ''provisional status'' due to the way the law of education operates in Romania. Last year we were visited by the accrediting agency and in January we were granted the final accreditation after a lot of effort and hard work from all the teachers and staff. Achieving this status does not change what we do much, but it is further recognition of the work in which we are engaged.
Wake Forest visit
At the beginning of April, Bill Leonard, the Dean of the Divinity School at Wake Forest University visited Project Ruth with a group of 10 students for a week. During their 7 day stay in Romania, they took part in a ministry conference with Gypsy ministers, participated in meetings with Romanian Baptist Faculty Students, observed classes at the Ruth School, and worshipped with many local congregations.
GSS - spring session
In March, we had the second spring session of the Gypsy Smith School.  The 20 students who took part had a great time with Rhett Travis and Andy Tooze, who taught from the life of David. It was a great experience for all of them, as David was able to still inspire and provide a lot of lessons from his life, even after so many years. The teachers came with Ken Meyers, GSS coordinator from the USA and pastor at Knowlood Baptist Church. We were also pleased to have among us the GSS coordinator from Hungary, Ralph Stocks.
